Season-Changing Wolves first appear in Red Rising as cunning, pack-hunting predators whose fur shifts from black to gray or white with the seasons, led by a man-sized white alpha. Their presence establishes the brutal, adaptive wildlife of Mars that tests the survival skills of the rising rebels. Across the series, these wolves evolve from mere environmental hazards into symbolic creatures representing the harsh, ever-changing nature of the worlds the characters must conquer.
