Brit Fletcher is a strong, hard-lived man nearing forty whose hatred of Arden’s king is no secret, and whose sympathies lie with the Patriots. When Jenna tries to force her way toward the stage, he holds her fast, revealing the practical force beneath his convictions. He works at a bench buffing boots in Fletcher’s Tack and Harness, a shop that serves as a Patriot headquarters. By the time Delphi is liberated, he is among those swept into the city’s joy.
Description
Brit is a strong man nearing forty, with the weathered bearing suggested by his description as an old man. His face, hair, eyes, skin tone, and exact stature are not specified, so his appearance is best grounded in his sturdy, work-worn presence rather than invented details. He belongs naturally in practical clothing suited to a tack-and-harness shop, where he is seen buffing boots at a workbench. His manner is blunt and resolute, carrying the weight of a man who makes no effort to conceal his opinions.
