Lyle has the fragile, half-vanished look of someone who has spent too long beneath the gaze of a crowd: loose clothes, tired lace, and golden eyes that seem much too alert. His quick, delicate hands and unnerving stillness make it hard to tell whether he is exhausted, watchful, or both.

Known as Lyle Truthteller, he presents himself as a fortuneteller whose nimble hands and golden-eyed stare give his performances an unsettling edge. Beneath the peculiar costume and practiced card work is a young man who looks profoundly worn down by the demands of performing. His brief appearance leaves an impression of guarded fragility rather than easy enchantment.
Description
Lyle is a medium-tall, spare young man with delicate features and a face made striking by his vivid golden eyes, which have the watchful, almost feline intensity of a raptor’s. His long, fine fingers move with startling speed and precision. A loose tunic hangs from his narrow frame beneath a threadbare surcoat, its lace worn at the wrists and collar, while a broad, flat velvet cap lends him an old-fashioned, mismatched air. He carries himself with the drained, inward look of someone running on the last of his strength. A human truthteller presenting as a pale, withdrawn boy, with a tense, youthful appearance and golden eyes that can blaze with pain and rage. He wears a velvet jacket and a conspicuous velvet hat pinned securely over concealed hair; his overall look is nervous and guarded, turning defiant in the moment of crisis.
