Dallet is a mountainous veteran and the sergeant of Kaladin’s squad, a spearman whose experience makes him a steady presence among the soldiers. He treats keeping his men alive as part of a sergeant’s duty, and Kaladin remembers him with deep affection as “Dear Dallet.” His life ends when a Shardbearer’s blade strikes him down, leaving a lasting mark on the men he served.
Description
Dallet is mountainous in build, with the massive, solid frame of a seasoned spearman. His face is weathered, and his full beard is cut short, its black hairs giving way to grey at the sides. He wears a leather jerkin beneath a breastplate, a knee-length skirt, and a steel cap; a large round shield rides on his back. His appearance is sturdy and unadorned, shaped by long service rather than display.
