Hesina is Kaladin’s mother, a capable and compassionate presence whose hands are as ready to help as her voice is to comfort. She assists with surgery and cares for those around her, carrying a quiet steadiness even when fear makes her hands shake. Her bond with Kaladin is rooted in deep affection and concern, and her practical courage offers a glimpse of the strength at the heart of his family.
Description
Hesina is tall, with a narrow face, a bold chin, and full lips. Her dark hair is pulled into a tail and wrapped in a kerchief, often tucked beneath a knit hat; at other times a yellow kerchief covers the crown of her head. She wears modest, practical clothing, including a long brown coat or a brown work dress, with a blue skirt hem sometimes visible beneath the coat. Her eyes have a lively twinkle, and her capable, attentive manner lends her a quietly reassuring presence.
