House Davar carries the quiet weight of an old name without the commanding reach of the great lighteyed dynasties. Its modest standing leaves room for curiosity about what such a family must do to endure.

House Davar is Shallan’s ancient family house, with a lineage older than its present measure of influence. Though neither powerful nor especially prominent, it forms the noble world from which Shallan comes. The family’s place is defined by the tension between inherited status and limited means.
Description
House Davar is a family rather than an individual, so no personal appearance is established. Its identity is that of an ancient Alethi noble house of middling power and importance. No specific crest, colors, architecture, or visual symbols are described.
