Ilamar is hard to miss: a compact officer whose long red mustache and scattered red hair stand out against his otherwise dark Alethi coloring. He carries the air of a man accustomed to giving orders from horseback, his eccentric appearance lending a vivid edge to his authority.

Ilamar appears as a lighteyed Alethi officer known as a cavalrylord, marked by an unusual scattering of red hair and a long red mustache. His role in the story is brief, and the book gives him no substantial personal arc or relationships. He remains a memorable military presence rather than a developed viewpoint character.
Description
Ilamar is a squat man with the dark coloring typical of an Alethi appearance, interrupted by patches of red hair. A long red mustache is his most striking feature. He is a lighteyed officer and cavalrylord, though his exact age, eye shade, facial details, and uniform are not specified. His compact build and vivid facial hair give him a distinctive, commanding military presence.
