Radiant begins as one of the distinct personas through which Shallan understands herself, a Lightweaver’s illusory face and a voice that can encourage her toward difficult truths. As Shallan’s inner life grows more complicated, Radiant sometimes falls silent, while at other moments she offers the composure and focus Shallan needs. In Lasting Integrity, she takes the lead through its impossible geometry, walking the walls and mastering the vertigo of each shifting corner. She remains part of Shallan’s changing sense of self, neither a separate companion nor a simple disguise.
Description
Radiant has no single fixed appearance, since she is a Lightweaving persona rather than a consistently present physical person. In the described guise, she has blonde hair and carries herself with a straight-backed, deliberate poise. Her face is an illusion, and the text does not establish a stable eye color, build, or characteristic clothing. Her most recognizable visual quality is a calm, self-possessed bearing that seems especially assured in strange surroundings.
