Szeth’s highspren first makes itself known as a rift in the air, a view into star-speckled darkness, and speaks to him with austere formality. It remains nearby as a watcher, judging his worthiness even when it withdraws from sight. As his mentor and the presence tied to his path as a Skybreaker, it offers neither easy comfort nor simple approval, demanding that Szeth confront what his choices mean.
Description
Szeth’s highspren has no described human form; it appears as a rift in the air revealing blackness faintly scattered with stars. The opening is stark and uncanny, with no stated color or texture at its edges. It can disappear from view after speaking, so its presence may be suggested more by the unsettling sense of being watched than by a visible body. No face, clothing, or physical build is specified.
