Elrond Half-elven, master of Rivendell and loremaster of the Firstborn, begins the saga as the decisive host of the Council that launches the Fellowship and ends it as a serene, regal figure who relinquishes his daughter to mortality and departs Middle-earth forever. Across the books his role shifts from active strategist and healer to a dignified witness of the new age, his ancient wisdom guiding the final victory yet yielding to the dominion of Men. By the close of the Third Age, the once-vibrant lord of the Last Homely House becomes the emblem of an elven twilight, sailing West with the Ring-bearers he once sheltered.
Description
An ageless elf-lord with a noble, hale build, his face neither old nor young but marked by deep memory. Dark hair flows like shadows of twilight, bound by a silver circlet, framing grey eyes clear as evening with inner starlight. Venerable yet strong as a warrior, he wears flowing elven robes, his grave presence commanding reverence by firelight or feast. An ancient Elven lord with a composed, dignified bearing, dressed in a flowing grey mantle. A radiant star adorns his forehead; he carries the sceptre of Annúminas, and in a ceremonial gathering holds a silver harp, with a gold ring set with a great blue stone on his finger. His appearance is noble and serene, suited to a revered ruler of Rivendell.
