Alaris is a Wise One of the Shaido, notable for raven-black hair that is rare among the Aiel. She is seen standing immobile with her shawl fallen to the ground, her attention fixed toward the northwest. That brief image leaves her defined by an unusual appearance and an intense, wordless focus.
Description
Alaris is a dark-haired Aiel woman whose hair is described as black as a raven’s wing, an uncommon coloring among her people. She is identified as a Shaido Wise One. The text gives no details of her face, eyes, build, or clothing apart from a shawl, which lies fallen at her feet. Her rigid stillness and fixed gaze lend her an unusually absorbed presence.
