Bayle Domon has the weather-beaten look of a man who has spent years measuring danger against opportunity. Beneath his dark cap, his unusual shaven hairstyle and beard give him a striking silhouette; his watchful eyes miss little, while his Illianer speech carries the salt of home.

A seasoned Illianer sailor and trader, Bayle Domon is drawn into the world of the Dragon Reborn after an encounter that leaves him entangled with the Seanchan. Forced to assume the role of a so’jhin servant, he endures captivity and danger without losing his stubborn resourcefulness. His path later crosses with Egeanin’s, and their bond grows from wary alliance into love as they try to make a life amid the upheaval. Through it all, Domon remains a practical, plain-spoken man whose loyalty is hard won and deeply kept.
Description
Domon is a stout, broad-shouldered man with a round, weather-beaten face and a short black beard that follows his jaw, leaving his upper lip clean-shaven. His head is shaved in the Seanchan so’jhin style, with dark stubble showing above his ears; he sometimes conceals it beneath a dark knitted cap. A worn dark jacket with frayed cuffs and well-used boots suit his sturdy, seafaring practicality. His expression is often dour, and his sharp, steady gaze gives him an alert, assessing presence.
