Careane Fransi appears among the Aes Sedai in Caemlyn, where her imposing stature and assured manner distinguish her at once. She is associated with the Green Ajah, yet her character and ultimate fate are not developed in the scenes described here. Her brief appearance leaves a strong impression of formidable self-possession and disdain for anyone who presumes to crowd her.
Description
Careane is a massive, broad-shouldered woman whose shoulders are wider than those of most men, giving her a sturdy, almost laborer-like outline rather than the delicate appearance expected of a noblewoman. Her smooth bronze-toned face shows no visible age, and no hair or eye color is specified. She wears a silk dress with green slashes and a shawl finished with green fringe. Her still, commanding posture makes her seem wholly untroubled by the attention around her.
