His nearly black eyes seem to burn from deep beneath a grim brow, and the white scar on his cheek gives his stillness a harsh edge. In worn brown wool and a frayed dark cloak, he has the disquieting presence of a man whose conviction has crowded out every gentler thought.

Once a Shienaran soldier, Masema becomes known as the Dragon Reborn’s Prophet, gathering vast numbers of fervent followers around his cause. His scarred face and uncompromising fervor make him a figure of dread, while his private dealings reveal a more calculating side beneath the public zeal. As his following swells into a dangerous uprising, devotion and violence become inseparable from his name.
Description
Masema is a swarthy, middle-height man with a shaved head and a grim, severe face. A white arrow scar marks one cheek, and his deep-set, almost-black eyes carry a feverish, unnerving intensity. His usual clothes are a worn brown wool coat and a dark, ragged cloak, without armor or weapons. He has a lean, weathered appearance and an air of rigid, consuming conviction.
