Silviana serves as Mistress of Novices in the White Tower, where her exacting discipline makes her a figure novices learn to fear and respect. She imposes a secret penance on Elaida, showing that her strictness is not confined to the ordinary routines of the novice quarters. Even when she is only spoken of, her reputation rests on the certainty of the strap and the severity of her standards.
Description
Silviana has the ageless face of an Aes Sedai, with a stern expression that reveals little warmth. As a member of the Red Ajah, she wears the formal clothing associated with her order. Her posture is upright and disciplined, and she is distinguished by the leather strap she uses in her work as Mistress of Novices. Her presence feels uncompromising and exacting.
