Galen, son of a weaver, arrives at Buckkeep as the new Skillmaster, wielding his talent with cruel precision to torment Fitz and block his training. His arrogance peaks in forging a flawed coterie, but Witness Stones expose his deceit, leaving him beaten and broken. From petty tyrant to humbled wreck, his downfall underscores the perils of Skill abuse and personal vendettas.
Description
Skinny cadaverous build with sunken cheeks and jutting bones, pale eyes, hawk-like nose, thin disapproving frame. A gaunt, skinny man with sunken cheeks, jutting bones, pale eyes, and a hawk's nose. His usual attire is opulent and tightly fitted, with fur at the collar, heavy amber beading on the tunic, and high fitted boots. After the beating, his face is bruised in purple, green, and yellow, his lip is split, and his hands are bruised; he wears a loose robe that conceals arm injuries and walks haltingly while recovering.
