Adhemar of Puy served as both Bishop of Puy and papal legate during the First Crusade. He was the first to receive the cross from Pope Urban's hands and proved himself equally skilled in council and in action. His voice proclaimed visions of saints during battle, and he ultimately succumbed to plague at Antioch.
Description
Adhemar of Puy presents as a middle-aged bishop with a commanding presence, his ecclesiastical robes marked by the simple cross of a papal legate. His face combines spiritual authority with military bearing, while his eyes reflect experience in both council chambers and battlefields. He carries a bishop's crozier with natural authority.
