Adolphus, also known as Athaulf, served as brother-in-law to Alaric and brought Gothic and Hun reinforcements from the Danube. He succeeded as king with more pacific views than his predecessor, married the Roman princess Placidia, and fathered a son named Theodosius before his assassination in Barcelona.
Description
Adolphus appears as a young Gothic chieftain with graceful bearing and features marked by both beauty and warrior's hardness. His dark hair and intense eyes reflect his mixed heritage, while his attire combines Roman and Gothic elements. He carries himself with the natural authority of one born to lead, though less imposing in stature than his famous kinsman.
