Apocaucus began as a Byzantine admiral whose talents served both his avarice and ambition in equal measure. His rise brought him control over naval forces and an impregnable castle, but his rapacious nature made him many enemies among the nobles and commoners alike. His story ended violently when prisoners seized him in the palace courtyard, beating him to death with sticks—a fitting end for a man whose schemes had imprisoned so many.
Description
A man of medium build with olive skin and dark hair, his features sharp and calculating. His eyes hold a predatory intelligence that shifts between avarice and ambition. He wears ornate Byzantine naval robes with gold embroidery, the fabric speaking of both his rank and his taste for luxury. His presence fills a room with the weight of someone accustomed to command and conspiracy.
