The fugitive despot of Serbia wandered as an exile, his voice growing more urgent as he described the suffering of Christians beyond the Danube. His exaggerated tales of Christian distress served to tempt Western powers with promises of new realms and crusading glory. Through his desperate diplomacy, he became both a symbol of lost Christian territories and a catalyst for military ambitions.
Description
A middle-aged Serbian nobleman bearing the weathered features of political exile, his dark hair and beard touched with gray. He wears the remnants of royal attire that speak to his former status, carrying himself with the dignified bearing of displaced nobility whose authority now rests in memory rather than power.
