The absence of his hand speaks of violence endured in service to an emperor, yet his bearing remains that of a man who once held power. There's something unyielding in his stance, as if loyalty has cost him dearly but not broken him.

Nebridius served as Praetorian Prefect under Constantius, demonstrating such fierce loyalty that he alone asserted his emperor's rights against Julian's troops. His confrontation resulted in the loss of one hand to a sword, yet even maimed he embraced Julian's knees in a final act of submission. His story captures the brutal transitions of power in the late empire.
Description
A Roman official of middle years whose missing right hand marks him as one who has suffered violence in the course of duty. His features are strong and marked by both pain and determination, with dark hair beginning to show gray. He wears the official robes of his prefectural authority, and despite his injury, carries himself with the bearing of imperial service.
