Odoacer rose from his origins as a barbarian mercenary to become the first king of Italy, fundamentally altering the political landscape of the Western Roman Empire. His deposition of the last Western emperor and abolition of the imperial office in the West marked the definitive end of Roman imperial rule in Italy.

Description

A tall Germanic man of middle age with fair skin and long blond or light brown hair. His powerful, imposing build and lofty stature are his most striking features, requiring him to stoop when entering doorways. He has the weathered features of someone accustomed to both battlefield command and political maneuvering, wearing practical garments that blend barbarian and Roman military traditions.
