There's something almost fragile about his imperial bearing—like a title too heavy for young shoulders, carrying the weight of Rome's final chapter with quiet resignation.

Romulus Augustulus, son of Orestes, became the last Western Roman Emperor when troops acknowledged him as ruler of the West. His brief reign ended when Odoacer deposed him, though the conqueror spared his life and provided him with an annual allowance of six thousand gold pieces and retirement to the castle of Lucullus in Campania.

Description

Augustulus presents the slender, youthful build of a teenage emperor, with refined features that speak to his noble birth. He wears the imperial purple and diadem with the bearing of one thrust into power too young, his presence marked by the diminished authority of Rome's final Western emperor.
