Gareth Bryne has the steady, unsentimental presence of a man who has spent a lifetime measuring danger. Even in plain campaign gear, he seems to carry the weight of command as naturally as the weathered lines of his face.

Once captain-general of Andor’s Royal Guard, Bryne became one of the age’s most celebrated commanders and lent his skill to the rebel army. His hard-won experience made him a figure whose judgment mattered in a world crowded with upheaval. In Tar Valon, rumors even credited him with discovering a secret way into the city, while Cadsuane counted him among the era’s great generals.
Description
Bryne is a stocky, seasoned man with a weather-beaten, stern face and graying hair. His campaign clothes are notably plain: brown garments beneath an unadorned breastplate, with no bright gilding to soften their practical look. A helmet with a barred visor and steel gauntlets complete his military appearance. His still, disciplined bearing gives him the air of a commander accustomed to being obeyed.
