Gaul is a Stone Dog, an Aiel scout whose work takes him far ahead of the others and into the uneasy country around the Shaido. He later leads the Brothers of the Eagle and takes Shaido prisoners, earning the regard that follows a capable warrior. Perrin remembers their first meeting, a small point of connection amid the shifting Aiel and wetlander world.
Description
Gaul is tall and reddish-haired, with the appearance of an Aiel warrior accustomed to life outdoors. He wears cadin’sor, practical clothing suited to movement, and a shoufa that frames and partly conceals his features. His build is that of a fit, seasoned fighter, and his watchful stillness suggests a scout always reading the ground around him. His look is spare and functional, without ornamental finery.
