Herid Fel was a Cairhienin philosopher and scholar of the Academy, remembered through his writings on the Pattern and the questions they set before those who read them. Min studies his philosophical and scientific works, while Rand struggles to make sense of them. Fel’s life ended violently in his own study, leaving his books as the clearest trace of his searching mind.
Description
Herid Fel is known as an elderly Cairhienin scholar, but the text does not specify his facial features, complexion, hair, eyes, or build. His visual identity rests on the modest presence of an academic and the books and treatises associated with his work. His clothing and any distinctive marks are not described. A thoughtful, absorbed demeanor suits the impression left by his writings without assigning him unsupported physical details.
