Latian has the pinched, pale look of someone perpetually chilled, his pointed nose and wary eyes giving him a sharply alert air. Beneath that nervousness is a quiet attentiveness, as though he is always listening for what others might miss.

A short, slight Cairhienin, Latian first appears among Perrin’s people as a wary young man with an Aiel-style hair tail and four red-and-blue slashes on his coat. Though easily unsettled by the grim surroundings, he proves useful and discreet. He passes Perrin a message from Balwer while pretending to inspect a horse’s hoof, showing a carefulness that serves him better than boldness.
Description
Latian is a short, slight young man with pale skin and a narrow, pointed nose. His long hair is drawn back and tied in a tail at the nape, in the Aiel fashion. He wears a dark coat bearing four distinctive red-and-blue slashes across the chest. His guarded expression and slightly hunched, chilly posture make him seem wary, but attentive.
