Rodel Ituralde is a small man whose presence seems to take up far more room than his stature suggests. A ruby glints at his ear, a black velvet star marks his cheek, and his neat mustache frames the measured expression of someone always reading the field around him.

Known as the Little Wolf, Rodel Ituralde begins as one of the great captains of the Westlands, a commander whose reputation travels ahead of him. Amid rumors that he is dead, has seized a throne, or is marching into Saldaea, he remains a figure others must reckon with, even when absent. Cadsuane counts him among the five great captains, a recognition of the strategic mind beneath his carefully cultivated appearance.

Description

Ituralde is short, with a compact build and neatly trimmed mustache, his features made memorable by a small black velvet star-shaped beauty patch on his cheek. A ruby earring shines in his left ear. He wears a layered coat over wool, silk, and linen, with a cuirass and a hood edged in black fox fur; pale lace at his cuffs falls over steel-plated gauntlets. A long sword and his composed, watchful bearing complete the image of a commander who is never merely decorative.
