She seems to carry a private winter with her: silver hair gathered carelessly, a dark gaze, and a green dress hanging loose on a frame grown too slight for it. Her silence is not calm so much as distance, as though the bustle around her reaches from very far away.

Vandene is a Green sister whose usual composure has been hollowed by grief, leaving her gaunt, withdrawn, and difficult to reach. Her twin sister’s death casts a shadow over her, and the once-commanding Aes Sedai moves through the world with her attention turned inward. Even when she advises Elayne in Caemlyn, she remains a figure marked by mourning rather than by the forceful presence expected of her Ajah.
Description
Vandene is a slender, sharply gaunt woman, her frame so diminished that her dark-green dress hangs loose around her. Silver hair is gathered into a careless, slightly disheveled bun. Her face has the ageless quality of an Aes Sedai, but its expression is deeply somber, with a shadowed gaze that seems turned inward. Floral embroidery decorates the sleeves and shoulders of her green dress, a delicate contrast to her austere, withdrawn presence.
