The Great Lord is the title used by the Shadow’s followers for the Dark One, their divine master and the force they hope will overcome the Dragon Reborn at Tarmon Gai’don. In this book he is invoked in the secret thoughts of Elza Penfell, whose allegiance to him gives the title its chilling weight. He has no embodied appearance in the account; his influence is conveyed through the faith and fear of those who serve him.
Description
The Great Lord has no described physical form: no face, body, coloring, or garments are given. He is an unseen divine presence, understood through the reverence and dread of his followers rather than through visible features.
