Alia is born into the Atreides family with an awareness and knowledge that make her seem unlike any ordinary child, and she grows into the figure revered as St Alia of the Knife. Her unusual nature shapes her place within the family and the Fremen world, where she becomes a powerful religious and political presence. The child’s extraordinary perception hardens into authority, leaving her remembered both as Alia-the-Strange-One and as a saintly figure whose legacy is bound to the knife.
Description
Alia is a very young girl, about four years old, with a small, childlike build and a soft oval face. Her polished bronze hair contrasts with wide-set green eyes overcast by the vivid spice-blue associated with the Fremen. Faint lines at the corners of her mouth lend her otherwise gentle features an unexpectedly composed, watchful quality. She wears a black aba robe, its dark, loose folds surrounding her slight frame, and carries herself with an unnerving calm that seems to exceed her years.
