Hercules, the greatest of Greek heroes, represented the pinnacle of classical heroism through his twelve labors and countless adventures. His fame, once universal throughout the Mediterranean world, would eventually be eclipsed in popular estimation by newer figures of glory and merit, marking the transition from pagan to Christian heroic ideals.
Description
Hercules appears as the archetypal classical hero, with an enormously powerful build, massive shoulders and arms that speak of legendary strength. His thick, curly dark beard and hair frame a face that combines nobility with primal force, while his bronzed skin suggests a life of outdoor adventure. He wears the iconic lion skin across his shoulders and carries his massive club, the unmistakable symbols of his identity.
