Mraize

Ishnah once wanted to join the Ghostbloods, making Veil suspect she may have contact with Mraize; the passage does not confirm that she is a spy or member.

Mraize seeks to bind Sja-anat to the Ghostbloods and is waiting for the spren she promised would come to him, though he worries she may be manipulating them.

Mraize identifies Adrotagia as his babsk and invokes the Ghostblood hierarchy: he respects her authority while expecting Shallan to respect his.

Iyatil has served as a close source of information for Mraize, a precedent he invokes when hinting that he has a spy near Shallan.

Mraize serves Thaidakar, the Ghostbloods’ master, and says he wants access to Kelek to investigate Thaidakar’s affliction.

Mraize is a Ghostblood who pressures Shallan toward a plan to take Kelek’s soul. Shallan and her internal aspects recognize that he is manipulating her, though they ultimately debate whether to follow his demand.

Ialai believes Mraize and the Ghostbloods are hunting her and arranging attempts on her life. She warns Shallan that the organization may also turn against its own operatives.

Mraize directs Veil to find Restares, a person he considers important enough to track; Veil suspects the mission is intended to end with Restares’s death.
