Known as the Taker of Secrets, Sja-anat is an Unmade whose influence reaches into the spren themselves, changing those she touches. She contacts Shallan and agrees to send one of her altered spren to investigate the Ghostbloods, setting her own quiet purposes alongside Shallan’s. Though bound to Odium’s essence, she moves between the Physical and Cognitive Realms and watches the people around Shallan through corrupted spren. Her choices suggest a will more complicated than the role others would assign her.
Description
Sja-anat takes the shape of a woman made from streaming black smoke, her outline never entirely solid. Pure white eyes, blank and luminous like small holes in the darkness, fix the viewer with an uncanny gaze. Long black hair flows around her head and shoulders, dissolving into shadow and mist. She has no clearly defined clothing or ordinary bodily details; her presence is a shifting silhouette of vapor, darkness, and stark white light.
