Wellington Yueh begins as the Atreides household’s Suk doctor, marked by the diamond tattoo of Imperial Conditioning and trusted within the Duke’s circle. His conditioning is suborned, and he gives the Duke into the Baron’s hands, becoming the instrument of a betrayal shaped by coercion and private anguish. Yet Yueh dies defending his Duke, leaving behind a legacy of terrible divided loyalties rather than simple treachery.
Description
Yueh is a thin, almost fleshless man with a butter-toned complexion, a square, blocklike head, and high, sharply angled cheeks. Long black hair falls to his shoulder, gathered in a silver Suk School ring, while a drooping stringy mustache frames his purpled lips and narrow chin; his dark, almond-shaped eyes are set beneath the creases of an exhausted, sorrow-lined face. A diamond-shaped tattoo marks his forehead. He is most often associated with wrinkled black clothing or a wrinkled white coat, and carries himself with a quiet, worn gravity.
