Duncan Idaho is one of the Atreides’ trusted fighters and a mentor whose loyalty is matched by formidable skill. On Arrakis he is glimpsed as a poised, quick-moving man, carrying a crysknife and transceiver; when the Harkonnens strike, he holds a passage against their forces. His death comes in a final act of resistance, leaving his courage inseparable from the image of him standing against overwhelming odds.
Description
Duncan has a dark, round face and black hair that curls thickly, like a goat’s coat. His expression is usually placid and controlled, with a rare smile; his eyes are sharp and may look blood-pitted through the blur of a shield. He moves with feline speed and carries himself with contained alertness. He wears a tunic with a crysknife sheath tucked beneath it and a transceiver attached to his belt kit.
